Henry IV, Part 2
“Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown” The narrative that started in the first part of Henry the Fourth continues in the second part and witnesses the growth of Prince Hal from a mischievous brat to a diligent ruler. The play traverses through series of trials and tribulations of a monarchy beginning from the victory of Henry IV in the battle of Shrewsbury, the consequent revenge of Earl of Northumberland, following Prince Hal’s ascension to the throne and the ultimate rejection and banishment of Falstaff which leaves him in utter confusion. Delicately structured, the play continues to raise the spur of ambition in the mind of the readers!
